Dublin Bay Kayaking

The Irish National Sailing School runs sit-on-top kayak rental from its clubhouse on the West Pier in Dun Laoghaire — paddle around the harbour at your own pace with wetsuits and buoyancy aids included. Single and double kayaks are available, making it a straightforward outdoor option for teams who want time on the water without a full-day commitment.

Sessions last two hours. The school runs Wednesday evening slots (6:30–8:30pm) and flexible Saturday bookings between 11:00am and 3:00pm, with all sessions finishing by 5:00pm. Renters must be 18 or over; under-18s need an accompanying adult. For corporate groups, contact the team on 01 284 4195 or sailing@inss.ie to arrange a block booking. Warm showers and changing rooms are available at the clubhouse.

Dun Laoghaire is in south Dublin, roughly 30 minutes from the city centre by DART. The harbour setting gives you open water and coastal views without travelling far from the office. Free parking is available locally; the DART station is a short walk from the West Pier.

Kayaking in pairs naturally encourages coordination and conversation — nobody needs prior experience, so mixed-ability teams can join in equally. A harbour paddle works well as a summer afternoon reset or a lighter alternative to more structured team-building formats.
